Introductie
An advice on a legislative proposal for the procedure of allocation of an additional (26th) seat for the Netherlands, provided the Lisbon Treaty is ratified. The proposal is to do this in the way residual seats are allocated.
Content
Prior to the election, in a previous recommendation on the subject, the Electoral Council suggested that the parties which obtained at least 75% of the electoral quotient in the elections should also qualify for the 26th seat. The State Secretary did not adopt this point.
